Ms. Shraddha Biswas

Junior Research Fellow

Exploring Close-in Extra-solar Planetary Systems; Unveiling Exoplanet Candidates around Stars in Open Cluster Environments; Searching for Variable Stars in Open Cluster Fields through Transit Observations.

Myself Shraddha Biswas. I have completed my Post-Graduation in Physics from Central University of Chhattisgarh with 84.58% marks (University Second Rank). Currently, I am pursuing Ph.D. as a Junior Research Fellow in Optical Observation under the supervision of Dr. Devendra Bisht. My research work mainly focuses on Transit Timing Variation (TTV) Analysis of close-in Exoplanets using various ground-based and space-based surveys. I have an expertise on probing the most plausible causes of the observed TTV in an Exoplanetary System. Additionally, I also do the photometric analysis of the observational data for the stars, with already discovered Exoplanets, in Open Cluster Environments. Moreover, I determine star's membership probability within an open cluster and accurately ascertain its stellar parameters, including effective temperature, surface gravity and equatorial rotational velocity, through a comprehensive analysis of its Spectral Energy Distribution (SED).
