Extra-galactic astronomy: Quasar absorption-line studies to probe the evolution of high-z proto-galaxies; cosmology using the Lyman-alpha forest; cosmological variation of fundamental constants using high-resolution AGN spectroscopy; quasar outflows; AGN variability; AGN black hole mass estimations; and multi-wavelength studies of AGN systems.

My research primarily focuses on quasar absorption systems, AGN physics, and the baryonic ecosystem of galaxies, using large time-domain surveys and high-resolution spectroscopy. At ICSP, I look forward to developing collaborative projects involving quasar–galaxy connections, multi-wavelength AGN variability, and absorption-line diagnostics of the circumgalactic and intergalactic medium. I am particularly interested in exploring synergies with ICSP researchers working on high-energy astrophysics, time-domain studies, and data-intensive sky surveys, as well as mentoring students in observational techniques and spectral analysis. I also hope to initiate joint work on AGN outflows and feedback using both archival datasets and upcoming observational facilities. This collaboration will help strengthen ICSP’s engagement in extragalactic astrophysics and broaden the scientific output of our combined efforts.
