Recruitment of Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) under DST and ISRO sponsored projects

Indian Centre for Space Physics (ICSP) invites application from the candidates having NET (excluding LS) / GATE with M.Sc.(at-least 55% marks) in Physics for the positions of the Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) in projects funded by DST / GITA (project number: GITA/DST/TWN/P-76/2017)  & ISRO /RESPOND (project number: ISRO/RES/2/418/18-19).

N.B. : B.E / B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech are not eligible.

1) DST/GITA Project -- This is an India-Taiwan scientific co-operation project under Global Innovation & Technology Alliance (GITA), DST. --- 1 JRF Position

2) ISRO/RESPOND Project -- This is Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) sponsored project. --- 2 JRF Positions

The fellowship tenure will be three years duration. The students will mainly work on observational studies of stellar mass black holes using archival data (mainly in X-ray band) of various present and past astronomical satellites, including India's first multi-wavelength astronomy satellite ASTROSAT. They will also work on theoretical aspects to improve our existing theoretical model on black hole accretion, namely two-component advective flow model.
